Description
For lovers of Crete and its recent history, this splendid house should be of great interest. The very grand 2 storey property of over 200sqm was the medical centre for the area until the late 1950’s and may have even been a small hospital at some point. The attractive church is a focal point in the area, especially on St George’s day when it overflows with villagers attending the annual service there. The increasingly important town of Vrisses is just 5 minutes drive away where banks, shops and services are all located and tavernas line the banks of the river which is a glorious place to eat lunch shaded by the massive Plane trees.
