Hidden behind a slightly dated exterior is a pretty little village house in the heart of Vamos, sympathetically restored by the owner to it’s original style but with modern comforts. With high, vaulted wooden ceilings, exposed stone work around the doors and some original floor tiles, this house has plenty of character and is in a fantastic location close to all amenities.

Situated on the first floor, from the terrace covered by a grape vine (distant views of the sea, over the village and some countryside) you enter the spacious lounge with original wooden floors, wood burning stove, ceiling fan and furnished with a TV and a 3 piece wicker seating set with table.  The windows and high wooden ceiling make it feel very light and airy. 

From the lounge, to the right and though a stone arch is a large bedroom, with double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, chest of drawer, dresser unit and air con unit. 

To the side of this room (and accessed through this room in typical Cretan style) is a smaller, second bedroom left unfurnished, with beautiful ornate floor tiles.  For a couple living here, this could be used as the bedroom leaving the larger room as another reception area with a sofa bed for occasional guests, or the smaller room as a dressing room/study.

The bathroom leads from the smaller bedroom, and a white suite comprising of WC, sink and bath tub with shower are newly fitted.  Above the bathtub is the original chimney where that the owners have cleverly converted to a glass skylight so you can enjoy a relaxing soak as you star gaze.

The kitchen leads from the lounge, and is another large room with plenty of units, purpose made by a local carpenter.  The oven is fitted conveniently at eye level, there is a gas top stove, a fridge freezer and a lovely matching dining table and chairs.  A door leads to the small, unfinished courtyard garden where the boiler and oil tank for the central heating are housed.
